Maine Fire Training & Education | Request for Records

All requests for archival research to retrieve training records require a fee. This policy change is necessary due to the increased number of requests and the staff time required to conduct searches. Archival research will not begin until payment for the search has been submitted. Payment does not guarantee results of records of your training being housed at the offices of MFTE. Many training programs such as in–station training and fire attack school training records are not reported to MFTE and must be obtained, by the student, from the source that conducted the training. Because of increased cost & time to produce duplicate and original documents a fee will be charged. The fee structure for all aspects of requests for search of archival records and production of documents is listed below.
